Blended and Military (BAM) Families

BLENDED AND MILITARY (BAM) FAMILIES

Blended and Military Families face unique challenges and obstacles that can sometimes seem insurmountable. Having experienced both situations, the aim of our Connect Group is to help sustain these special families through studying God’s Word and other resources together and by sharing personal accounts of what God has done in our life to help us overcome what sometimes seemed impossible.

This Connect Group is open to all blended and military couples and all branches and ranks in the service. You are welcome to attend both sessions. Also note, this connect group is not only for families but individuals too.

RESOURCES from FOCUS ON THE FAMILY:

Blended Families, Maxine Morsolini

When re-married couples bring their families together, they face unique challenges. Somehow, they must bring unity out of diversity. Maxine Marsolini points to biblical solutions to the conflict commonly found in divorce and remarriage situations. ‘Growth and Application’ questions make this an excellent resource for small groups or Christian counseling.

The 5 Five Love Languages: Military Edition, Dr. Gary Chapman

Marriage is hard enough for the everyday civilian. But imagine marriage when you’re separated by thousands of miles . . . when one of you daily faces the dangers of combat . . . while the other shoulders all the burden of home-front duties. Add to that unpredictable schedules, frequent moves, and the challenge of reintegration, and it’s no wonder military marriages are under stress.

Thank you for signing up and we look forward to a great time!
